1) What's the history of the 3Balls character? Does he have a back story?
3Balls comes from the artist’s love of sci fi movies and UFOs. He is an alien who comes to Earth from outer space. He dresses up like a human and tries to blend in with us. The irony is 3Balls is instantly recognisable as an alien because he has three eyes.

2) How did you two — Benzilla & Pobber — first connect to make this character? Was this design the initial idea or did it evolve out of you two wanting to work together?
I came across street art of 3Balls online and started to look more into the character and the artist. It was at this time that Benzilla contacted me and we started to discuss about potentially working on a project together. We went back and forth on a few design ideas for months before we finally settled on the piece you see now.

3) Why opt to make the figure out of resin instead of vinyl? Does the medium lend itself more to being seen as 'art sculptures' rather than 'toys' in your mind?
I approached this project as an art sculpture so there is a statuesque look and feel to the figure. Making something like this in vinyl would not feel right since resin is the best form of medium for an art sculpture like this. This is truly unlike any figure Pobber has produced and is a direction we will be looking to pursue more in 2015.
