We are only a few days away from the
previously announced "
The Vinyl Thoughts Art Show 5: MAD*L Makers" group art show at The Quixotic World in Dallas, Texas. This year, they are celebrating ten years of the MAD*L figure with over seventy artists customizing that iconic vinyl along with other popular blanks. Jeremy Madl himself will be at the show to oversee the MAD-ness. It’s a One Night Only Event where you can see and buy some of the most original vinyl customs at the biggest custom toy show in the South! Today we are stoked to be bringing you exclusive photos of an amazing custom... "
Arkham Asylum" is a 10" MAD*L constructed of vinyl, wood, plastic, pvc, and super sculpey created by Dallas artist Hybrid. This piece features opening doors on the body, revealing a security guard command center with 35mm Micro-MAD*L guard and accessories. The head has been converted into a detailed jail cell that houses a Micro-MAD*L Joker figure. Two prison towers with flocking bats and weather vane flank the head, and a clock tower with perched gargoyles adorns the top. The back of the head features a chapel with stained glass window effect. The figure rests on a custom wood base with autumn terrain and Arkham Asylum gate....WOW!!!!
On top of all the customs, there will be some raffle items up for grabs as well including customized Diablo Texas/Round Eye Toys skulls... just like the one you see above from Dallas artist Holden Hostetler called “
Bartinator”... RAD!!! "
