1989 was a good year for horror fans, as both Freddy Krueger and Jason Vorhees made their 8-bit Nintendo debuts in video games named after their famed franchises,
A Nightmare on Elm Street and
Friday the 13th respectively. Then, last year, NECA surprised fans by doing 8-bit re-renditions of their 7-inch tall figures for both characters! And while those were great conceptually, this is what I wanted… sweet 3¾-inch tall action figure versions, just like would've come out in 1989 when the games did. Produced under the
Super7 and
Funko collaborative
ReAction Figure line, these variants are part of the
previously announced Horror Series and literally just recolor the figures to match their game appearances. Exclusive to this year's
New York Comic Con, these will be available from
Toy Tokyo's Booth with an anticipated price of $20 apiece.
