Malaysian-born comic book illustrator
Sonny Liew, now based in Singapore, is probably best known for either his work on
My Faith in Frankie for DC Comics's Vertigo line or for visually adapting
Sense and Sensibility for Marvel Comics, but art toy collectors will soon relate his name with his amazing "100,000 Horsepower" resin figure (pictured above). This non-articulated sculptural bust has been produced by
Mighty Jaxx, who continue to score success after success with art toys designed by those outside the field… bringing new and fresh voices to our art world niche. This figure will make it's debut at the 2014
Singapore Toy, Game and Comic Convention (STGCC), held on September 5th through the 7th, though there is no word on height, edition size, or pricing.
