Since they were already sharing a booth space at
ToyConUK, it only made sense that Rich "
UME Toys" Page and
Jon-Paul Kaiser would collaborate on at least one release…
Introducing Buford Mandrake, the scourge of the Charing-Cross hospital operating theatre (1839-1860). His experimental surgical procedures and research methods led him into a life of back street murderous violence and deceit. Shrouding his appearance from his nocturnal life of crime with various masks allowed him to conceal his true identity until his untimely death.
Standing almost 4-inches tall and cold cast in copper, aged with washes by both of the artists, this piece will be limited to an edition of 10 copies at the convention, released with two (!) of his infamous masks. The figure is articulated at the neck, making it easy to flip one head out for the other. Available at the artist's shared booth, you best be quick to snap up one of these £35 (approx. $58) apiece figures on April 12th, 2014… that is, of course, if you're lucky enough to see the good doctor in-person.
