Kidrobot x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?!?!?!

First is was a really cool Marvel license that the folks over at Kidrobot got their hands on and produced a few rad products, and now... it appears that KR just landed another HUGE licensed product, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!!! Posted up on KR's instagram feed are a few great looking teasers of all four heroes in a half shell: Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo. One thing to note... these figures have actual sculpted parts... not just the sticker packs that we saw with the Marvel Munny's... these are the real deal, and they appear to come with weapons as well :-)

Upon further investigation (thanks to Sam Harris aka KapowCreations), it appears that not only are we going to get these four figures, but KR plans on doing a whole line of figures... and these four appear to be part of a blind-boxed mini series that includes the whole cast of characters! On top of that, there will be Munny's, and larger 7" versions of villains "Rocksteady" and "Bebop"... hmmmmm, I wonder what's next?!?! These are really cool, and I am sure fans of the series are going to dig them... my only concern is, with KR and other companies continuing to land these massive licensed deals... are designer art toys falling on the wayside? I get it though... companies need deals like this to fund the smaller artist based projects, but the frequency of licensed releases compared to artists driven releases seems to be growing at an alarming rate... and it makes me wonder, what's next?!?
