It's almost that time of the year again to celebrate
Super Cooper Berella's birthday in true art style, with a group show comprised of some of the slickest talent out there! This year's exhibition, "Music to My Ears," is themed around creating art inspired by music and
Obscure opted to customize a Hell Lotus figure into the above pictured "Ring of Fire" piece, inspired by the Social Distortion version of the Johnny Cash classic. Donning a greaser look upon the vinyl figure, Obscure sculpted a pompadour, cigarettem and martini glass into the mix and, of course, painted the iconic Social D logo on the jacket back! This is one slicked back punk that's lookin' real good!
"
Music to My Ears," a group exhibition curated by
Super Cooper Berella, will open on Saturday, August 24th with a reception from 7-10
PM and will be on display until September 10th, 2013 at
Toy Art Gallery, 7571 Melrose Ave., Hollywood, CA 90046.
