While the world is abuzz with San Diego Comic-Con news, artist
Sam De Jesus has his eyes set on
DesignerCon instead… for the past couple of years he's been converting the above illustration into a 7.3-inch tall prototype (below), which is now ready for resin casting and — hopefully — making his debut at DCon this year! This mutated frog warrior is named "Antaeus," making him the namesake of the half-giant from Greek mythology… but, more than that, the name ἀνταῖος (Greek spelling) translates to "set-against" or "hostile," which a frog with a gun for a tongue most certainly seems to be!
