The Graphix Chick has tackled a trio of
Apologies to Banksy releases, customizing them from finely crafted vinyl into fine pieces of art. "Radiation Girl," the Bomb Hugger pictured above, is my personal favorite, with the solid color blocks broken by elegant dotting that is reminiscent of Roy Lichtenstein's pop work. "Lucinda," the Bomb Hugger pictured below, and "Unsaid Dead," the Rude Copper bust pictured below right, both exhibit more of a folk art flair, using the patterned styles of the indigenous peoples of the Americas (American indians on "Lucinda," Mexicans on "Unsaid Dead").
