Jon Walsh's Dr. Who-inspired "Gallifreyan Regeneration Tea" custom Lunartik for Dream in Plastic Show!

If you're a fan of Doctor Who, especially the modern one, then you surely recognize his iconic Sonic Screwdriver, bow tie, and fez hat! Yes, Jon Walsh has customized this Mini Lunartik in a Cup of Tea figure into a minimalist representation of the current regeneration of England's beloved time traveller. While I don't mind the simple and straight-forward paint application for the character himself, the flat blue tea cup representing the TARDIS is a big of shame… I'd love to see some sort of element added there to identify it more cleanly, even is it was just the iconic 'Police Box' banner around the top of the rim. This one-of-a-kind piece will be part of the previously announced "Custom Toy Show" at Dream In Plastic.

The "Custom Toy Show" group exhibition will open on June 8th and be on display until July 12th, 2013 at Dream In Plastic, 177 Main St., Beacon, NY 12508.
