Nathan Hamill's "Draco Lacrimis" custom YHWH for Toy Art Gallery show!

Above we have Nathan Hamill's "Draco Lacrimis" (Latin for Dragon Tears) custom version of Mark Ryden's 16.5-inch tall YHWH statue for the previously announced and upcoming group show at Toy Art Gallery exhibition. Painted in a simple but effective maroon and black color combo, Hamill let the original design continue to shine through… adding some wonderfully realistic eyes, which appear to be glass and sculpted into place, as well as the very wet and fresh looking tears, better viewed in the below close-up. Yes, Hamill didn't reinvent the wheel here, rather he stayed true to the piece and just added some absolutely killer detail work to it!

Mark Ryden's YHWH custom group show opens on Saturday, May 11th with a reception from 7-10PM local time and will be on display until May 26th, 2013 at Toy Art Gallery, 7571 Melrose Ave., Hollywood, CA 90046.
