J★RYU's menagerie of creepy creatures for "Strange Symbiosis" Giant Robot show!

We gave you all a taste HERE of what artist J★RYU is bringing to the table for the upcoming, previously announced, "Strange Symbiosis" four-person group show at Giant Robot... well, now we get to see them all in their glory... and how fantastic they all look! Jesse tells us that for this show he focused on the form, rather than the narrative as he took familiar species that are already found in nature that are uniform with his already established style... and as you can see, each creature does just that, shows off Jesse's superb sculpting skills while allowing the creature to take on a life of its own... almost in a symbiotic nature. The "Strange Symbiosis" exhibition of works by Scott Tolleson, Leecifer, J★RYU, and Aaron Brown opens on May 4th with a reception from 6:30-10PM Pacific time and runs through May 22nd, 2013 at GR2, 2062 Sawtelle Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90025.
