We've
previously revealed only one contribution to the upcoming touring gallery show of paintings on 12-inch vinyl records, the "Art in the Groove" exhibition, as organized by
Generic Art,
Flatties,
Nick Dale and
Designer Toys UK. Debuting at
ToyConUK, it seems that Queen Elizabeth II herself was dismayed at not being initially invited to participate in the event, so she's enlisted the aide of notorious artist
Banksy to craft a contribution based on her design as well as for him to sneak the piece into the show. Pictured above, their collaborative effort is titled "Save Me" and features a copy of the Sex Pistols's "God Save the Queen" specially cast on gold with laser etched portraits of Queen Elizabeth II herself. If you're able to attend the convention, keep a sharp eye on this exhibition, as you never know when the man, the myth, the legend known as Banksy will sneak this contribution in!
Please Note: Happy April Fool's Day! The above post is a joke and in no way reflects — to the best of our knowledge — anything that is actually occurring.
