'Claude's Chameleon Carnival' by Goblinfruit Studio for 'Stitched' @ The Clutter Gallery 4/13!

Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls! Gather 'round the circus tent for our next BIG attraction: Claude's Chameleon Carnival, the SLOWEST show on earth! Yes, not even an endless supply of cotton candy and circus peanuts could keep you awake for the time it takes THIS chameleon to jump through THIS hoop! But we appreciate your patronage, so let's try anyway!

New from Goblinfruit Studio's Carisa Swenson for the upcoming Stitched show, the Chameleon Carnival is among the most complex and ambitious pieces we've seen from Carisa in a while. Standing 23 inches with wooden base, Claude and the chameleons (how's that for a band name?!) are mixed media sculptures hand crafted from paperclay, fabric, Magic Sculp, wood and wire armature. I am all sorts of awestruck right now.

Stitched opens this Saturday, April 13th through May 4th at The Clutter Gallery in NY (163 Main St., Beacon, NY 12508). An opening reception will be held on Saturday from 6pm to 9pm. GO if you can! If this beaut isn't enough to convince you, look at this and this!
