Seymour's Gorgeous 'Three's A Crowd' for Strychnin's 'Attention Earth' Exhibition
Seymour is one of those artists who constantly delivers, time after time. Whether it's strange sideshow performers at an abandoned circus or burlap-masked monsters hunting you on All Hallow's Eve, his intricate creations are as frightening as they are beautiful. Case in point: for Strychnin Gallery's apocalypse-inspired exhibition, Attention Earth, Seymour has created Three's a Crowd at the End of the World, his interpretation of the demise of humankind following some sort of unearthly cataclysm. Not to spoil it or anything, but I don't think this will end well for our party-hatted pal. But that aside, take a moment to marvel at the detail of this thing: the tiny bulrushes, bubbles in the water and texturing on the forked-tongue monster coming in for the kill. Wonderful, wonderful stuff.
Crafted from resin and polymer clays and painted entirely by hand, Three's a Crowd measures 35cm x 18cm x 15cm, including the glass dome. Have a look at it and the other extraterrestrial awesomeness on exhibit via Strychnin's site here. Attention Earth runs through March 9th at Strychnin Gallery, Boxhagenerstr. 36 10245, Berlin.
