Ian Ziobrowski's custom Franky and Bowser Dunny figures!

Ian Ziobrowski's first two commissions of 2013 and both are truly killer. Pictured above is "Franky," which is a "private portrait commission for a friend's brother." As you might easily guess, the person being depicted — presumably Franky — must be quite the fan of geek culture: I can easily spot a Cobra tattoo (from the G.I. Joe television show), but the inclusion of the removable Boba Fett (from Star Wars) helmet might be the most telling piece. Without a point of comparison, I'm going to have to assume it is spot on; there's no reason Ziobrowski would create such a finely detailed piece only to have it not clearly depict the subject. What a stunning piece!
And then we have a 3-inch Dunny transformed into Bowser, the notorious baddy from the Super Mario Bros. games. Simple, bold paintwork applied over an impressively sculpted piece. While Ziobrowski could've created this using a Kracka with greater ease, I get the sense that he's pushing himself, trying to perfect techniques and master skills. We thought 2012 was an impressive year for the artist, but 2013 is already shaping up to be killer!
