Even though the
Freak Store sponsored,
My Plastic Heart hosted, "Fonzo Loves NY" show went down last night (and from the images, it looked like an awesome show), we figured we would bring a few more custom pieces to your attention... seeing as they are rad! First up is the super mystical custom Fonzo titled "
A Pernicious Mongoloid" by
Ardabus Rubber that features his surreal paint application... very Dali'esque!!! I love the use of dark colors contrasting with the vibrant hues of pink... and those lines, so warped and dream like!!!
Next is the "
Fonzo Growhouse" from NY based artist
Ian Ziobrowski, who brings his NUGGs world to a brand new platform. Utilizing the shape of the figure, Ian removed the arms... but in removing them, he added a ton of new elements including an internal LED unit that lights up the head to reveal a grow room... amazing craftsmanship, and I just love those rivets and rust... a cool technique, pulled off well! Both of these customs, if not sold already, can be found online
HERE in the next few days.
