The magnificent mind of
Luke Chueh has gone to Japan, to open his very first major exhibition in the Land of the Rising Sun: "
Turning Japanese". Hosted at the
IDOL Gallery in Tokyo, this show "features all new works inspired by his (mis)understanding of Japanese culture. Subjects range from Ritual Suicide, Ramen, Kappa, Tokusatsu, Kawaii Culture, and more." Pictured below are several pieces from the show (left to right): “Southpaw (Kawaii),” “Seppuku,” “The Bomb” (title unconfirmed) and a Japanese inspired flag Chueh made for the exhibit.

Turning Japanese", a two artist exhibit of Chueh and TOUMA, opens on December 1st with a reception from 8PM to 12 Midnight and runs through December 14th, 2012 at
IDOL Gallery, Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan 5-11-9 B1F.
