Trenton M Studios's custom Buff Monster & MAD*L figures!

Trenton M Studios have released the above 1.5" Buff Monster one-off custom entitled "Weak Robot No.3" for $40. Made by layering acrylics, inks, and watercolors on the vinyl platform, this piece might seem to be slightly over-priced but nothing outrageous…

But then you see his other recent customs, the one-off 5" MAD*L with the wonderful title "The Young Boy with the Very Square Shaped Head" and the set of a 4" & 1.5" Buff Monster pieces called "Weak Robot Twin Set No.1 and No.2;" the former is $200 while the latter is $190. Both are easily double what the standard market price for similar customs bears without — in my opinion — showing evidence for why such a high price is asked. Customs are a lot of work and I do think artists should be fairly compensated, but this certainly seems like inflated pricing to me.
