The 'Triple Crown of YoYo' mascot comes to life with help from Chris Ryniak, Rotofugi & Squibbles Ink!!!!
All I gotta say is that it's about time... and I am sure you all feel the same way!!! Spotted over a year ago as a concept for the 'Triple Crown of YoYo' competition, Steve Brown co-founder of the Triple Crown decided that this competition needed a mascot so he got together with artist Chris Ryniak and above is the result... a friggen awesome looking, YoYo wielding, monster of a beast (makes perfect sense)!!! Partnering with Squibbles Ink and Rotofugi Gallery, they set their sites on producing a very limited run of this 7" vinyl figure, and the first time these will be up for grabs will be during SDCC via the Rotofugi booth in a rad unpainted version... dibs!!!!!
Like mentioned above, Chris Ryniak designed this figure and then the folks over at Shinbone Creative sculpted it. In addition to the planned releases at SDCC, there will be special and super-rare Metallic Glow versions of the figure given out as trophies for the event… not available for sale, the ONLY way to acquire one will be to place in the top three in the Standard, Two-Handed, or Aerial freestyle divisions. Also available at the event will be the first painted release of the figure. This will happen in Chicago on July 28th... and any additional stock will be available online exclusively via TripleCrownYoYo.com. There is no word on a run number, or a price, but you can bet that no matter what they are, these will sell very quick! Once we get anymore supporting info we will update you all first!
