Triple Crown of Yo-Yo x Rotofugi's SDCC 2012 "Triple Crown Monster"!

This 7-inch-tall vinyl monster has a pedigree like you wouldn't believe: designed by Chris Ryniak for Triple Crown of Yo-Yo, then sculpted by Scott Wetterschnieder of Shinbone Creative, before being produced by the partnership of Rotofugi and Squibbles Ink. The figure will be available in Chicago on July 28th, where anyone placing within the top three of the Standard, Two-Handed or Ariel Freestyle divisions at the Triple Crown of Yo-Yo event will receive a metallic glow edition of this "Triple Crown Monster" as their trophy. Otherwise, you'll can snag an unpainted version (pictured) a bit early at Rotofugi's booth during the San Diego Comic-Con 2012!

While pricing is still unannounced, any remaining copies after the convention will be available directly from both Rotofugi and Triple Crown of Yo-Yo. I think this piece looks absolutely killer, so I'd be surprised if it isn't a quick sellout. The detail work is astounding and I love that his hands are wrapped in yo-yo string (with the actual yo-yos being cupped in his palms). Quite brilliant indeed!
