J★RYU's custom Hello Kitty katana for Weapons Of Mass Change!
Just last week the first stop on the "Weapons Of Mass Change" traveling art show tour opened and, unfortunately, we weren't there. But J★RYU was kind enough to share this picture of his "Hello I Kill You" piece from the exhibit with us. This customized katana & stand looks amazing; not only did he morph the Hello Kitty figure with the kimono and eyepatch, but look carefully at the katana's handle: a tiny inset Hello Kitty head in what appears to be crystals. Such a fun take on the idea! In addition to the Richmond, Virginia based G40 stop, "Weapons Of Mass Change" will also be at: San Diego Comic Con (July 13th, 8PM - 2AM), New York Comic Con (Oct. 12th, 8PM - 2AM) and Art Basel Miami (Dec. 6-9th). The artists and pieces shown will continue to morph and change for each destination.
