Flatties's "Origin" metal piece for Heavy Metal Qee!

We showed you some sick work-in-progress pics for the above piece at the beginning of the week, so we thought you'd love to see what the completely work looked like. Entitled "Origin," Phil & Adam at Flatties have not disappointed… That's an 8" Qee that they cast out of aluminum for the upcoming Heavy Metal Qee (or HMQ) project. Maybe it's just me, but I'm always drawn to pieces that re-interpret a figure I'm used to seeing in vinyl as something in wood or metal or porcelain or whatever; I think it's the craftsmanship, making something by hand that duplicates something made by machine. Regardless, fantastic piece!
