Dudebox x Pete Fowler's "Design A Fiend" Winners: Sergio Mancini, Luke Tribe & Gary Ham!

Long ago, so long ago, you might remember we announced an art competition that Dudebox was holding: the "Design A Fiend" contest, wherein the winner would have their design for the new Pete Fowler platform put into limited production! Well, several hundred entrants later and we actually have three winners: Sergio Mancini, Luke Tribe, and Gary Ham. I love Ham's nervously simple concept, though the expressive depth of the eyes and the details on the hoodie sell me completely, and Tribe's wonderfully cartoony rendering is adorable, with the squiggly hair and rounded ascot tie, but Mancini's is a bit too detailed to comment on in miniature…

It's simple and sleek, but maintains a brilliant sense of humor with the blueprinting area (items marked "infernal horn," "satanic eye," "impish face," "neck" and whatnot). Can't wait to see all these mock-ups turned into actual toys… which, for those that are interested in such things, Dudebox will be reporting on the process on; so you can see a bit of the "behind the scenes" of toy design on their website as the project commences.
