Well, wadda ya know... the great folks over at
Ohiya, with artist THARP at the helm, have made it bigtime as they are now being carried at select
Hastings stores and online at
Hastings.com! This is really great news because it's so rad to see an artist in the designer toy scene break into the mainstream with his designs... hopefully bridging the gap between the known and the not so known. THARP tells us that "
Ohiya encourages us to explore our comfort zone - to simply say, 'Hi.' A chance encounter can suddenly turn into something magical, all with the help of a simple two letter word."... awesome right! Hastings will be carrying a full line of plush, tees, keychains, stickers, lanyards, poochie purses, magnets, and more. THARP will also be on hand at the Richmond, KY store on 3/3 from 11-2 for a live painting and meet and greet... so if you are in or around the area, swing on by and say Ohiya :-)
