KAWS's "Silent City" triptych being installed at the High Museum of Art |
KAWS appears to have "
Down Time," or — at least — that's the name of his upcoming exhibit at the
High Museum of Art in Atlanta, GA. This exclusive show is a multi-site installation, including a 22-foot-tall mural painted in the Margaretta Taylor Lobby of the High’s Wieland Pavilion and a 24-foot-long triptych, entitled "Silent City," in the Museum’s Robinson Atrium. The event will also feature a grid of 27 round paintings, a group of KAWS toys, drawings, and a collaboration between the artist and British photographer
David Sims. KAWS's sculpture "Companion" was installed in the Museum's piazza last year in preparation for this show.
