Full reveal of MAD's "Mork" from Pobber Toys
Well this is sure a surprise... this close to SDCC as well :-) Pobber Toys just sent over some really amazing photos of their upcoming figure dubbed "Mork" which was designed by Kansas City artist Jeremy Madl aka MAD. This figure has been lurking in the shadows for some time now, in fact we saw some great teasers HERE, but really had no info or the full revel on this piece up until now! Above you are looking at the master mold piece, that shows off all the details of this fun piece! As a collector of MAD's work you may notice elements on this figure that he has incorporated into customs over the past few years like the teeth and the stylized zipper.
Mork is a boastful monster who wants to be a superhero, so he puts on a kitchen pot and tries to be a hero... and as you can see he sure looks proud with that pot on his head! Above are some really cool shots of Mork as a wax model... the step right before they make the molds. I really dig the little elements such as the tuft of hair, bent up toes, hinges on the bucket and HUGE eye brows (a staple for a ton of MAD's work). This figure measures 6.5" tall and is set to release this fall. For those of us able to attend SDCC, there will be a Mork prototype on hand for us all to see... really cool! Keep those eyes peeled for colorways very soon :-)
