“Light vs. Dark" Ozomahtli by Ardabus Rubber
What may be the first ever custom Ozomahtli looks friggen fantastic, and all others that follow sure do have a big set of shoes to fill as artist Ardabus Rubber seriously killed this amazing platform. The piece is titled "Light vs. Dark" or the longer title which is "An Ossified Figment Battles the Nothingness of Everything" was acording to Ardubus one of the toughest toys he ever painted... and this dude has a pretty extensive pedigree of custom vinyl! He told us that it was due to all the nooks, and defined lines of raised vinyl throughout the entire piece... and just by looking at it you can see what he is talking about!
Ardabus also told us that his main goal was to keep it true to the original toy but still make it his own,as he painted it with acrylics and a bit of airbrush... he even customized the box in a really creative way... the complete package if you will. With each custom I am continuity impressed with his painterly style! This piece has already sold, but if you're interested in snaggin up your own custom Ardabus vinyl, shoot him a message through his website HERE as he is always open for commissions.
