G40 Art Summit - Custom Figure Show

Art Whino returns in 2011 for the second edition of G40. The first G40 art summit in 2010 (posted HERE) was a huge success in the DC metro area that featured over 2000 works by 500 artists organized by floors corresponding to their cultural hubs. This year however, G40 explores not cultures but the genres including customized vinyl collectibles, skateboard art, stencil, wheat paste, mural and 3D installations.... spread all over a massive 25,000 sqft building and showcasing art on all of it 4 floors.

This year as part of the DIY collectible series G40 has teamed up vinyl artist, Sket-One to show the countless possibilities explored by different mediums including but not limited to vinyl, resin, wood, metal, and plastic. Who did Sket round up for this mission... he asked many heavy hitters in the customizing field today including: Angry Woebots, BabyVtec, Brent Nolasco, Chauskoskis, czr prz, Dust, Huck Gee, Itch 1, J*RYU, Jason Jacenko, Jesse Smith, Julie West, Kelly Vivanco, Kevin Gosselin, Lara Slater, Lou Pimental, MAD, Pocket Wookie, PON, Project Detonate, Rhoby, Ritzy Periwinkle, Sket-One, Southerndrawl, TaskOne, Tracey Tubera, 64Colors, SpankyStokes, The Beast Brothers and more. This exhibit is going to run from May 19th through June 17th, 2011 and promises to deliver multiple layers of art goodness.
