“Corroded Queen” Ghost Girl by Scott Tolleson
Up next in our ongoing customs featured for todays “Ghost in the Machine” custom Ghost Girl show at MPH, is the stylized work from artist Scott Tolleson as he took a familar approach to what we have seen from him before, yet he threw some new techniques in as well. One of the most noticeable aspects about this customs is the argyle pattern on the back… other than that it seems as though Scott wanted to grunge things up a little bit with some cool rust effects along with some wear-n-tare. He also tackled the face in a very interesting, almost pin-striping way… very symmetrical in shape, really diggin on it! Scott states “The piece is entitled “Corroded Queen”. I wanted to give this piece a since of eeriness and wonder for a couple reasons. One being the obvious… because of the platform being a ghost, and the other because my last few customs have been somewhat silly/cartoony and didn’t really have substance or meaning behind them. I wanted the piece to have questions asked about it. Who is this corroded queen?” Who is this mystery woman… head on out to MPH today and maybe this answer will be revealed to you!
