Custom Kaws Pinocchio by DrilOne
If you have been on Twitter for the past few months and have been following DrilOne, you have probably seen all the work in progress shots of this amazing custom piece... well today we are getting the first look at the complete piece and I gotta say right off the bat that this may be my favorite custom done by Dril to date! This Pinocchio figure stands about 10" tall and Jiminy Cricket stands about 3" tall... where each one was meticulously crafted in the rusted/grunge look that Dril has been perfecting for years now! This commission piece features wood, brass, rope, spraypaint, acrylic, and other materials... and I love the result! One of the best parts about it is the wood paneling on the arms and legs... seriously cool. For more pictures hit up Dril's flickr HERE, and take a quick minute to read about the history of this figure.
The story of how Pinocchio came to be:
"This is a set created in 1939 in Nuremberg, Germany. Die Bohrmaschine was the manufacturer of the German Pinocchio (Deutsche Pinocchio) toy. The history behind why he is painted in military style is unknown. The Deutsche Pinocchio was found in a abandoned barn in Osh Kosh, Nebraska. How it got there is still a mystery."
