"Golden God" custom PAW by Kevin Gosselin
The work of Kevin Gosselin continues to make me super envious of his talents... and this is so apparent in his latest custom as he took a COARSE Toys PAW figure and transformed it into an ancient temple dubbed the "Golden God". Kevin did this as a commission for a lucky collector who obviously loves the form of the PAW figure itself, and Kevin honored that keeping the majority of it in tact, only sculpting a few elements here and there to help tell the story. The texture added to the piece turned this once silky vinyl figure into a hard, cold, stone surface where Kevin added sculpted vines, a staircase, a door, and an alter that shows some signs of use. Seriously amazing job once again by Kevin, and congrats to who ever this s going to... LUCKY!!!
The story of the Golden God:
"Lost to the world this ancient temple hides away in the jungle, a relic of another time. Created from individual stones, shaped and pieced together into a worshiped god long since forgotten. Hidden within the stone are traces of gold. A staircase wraps it's way around one arm, up the spine and ascends the other arm to be greeted by the ceremonial alter where many a life was exhausted as offerings in the hopes good fortune would bring. A birds nest clings to the under hang of rock and vines begin to claim this abandoned place. The real mystery lies deep beneath. Are you brave enough to venture through the door?"
