Daniel Goffin Custom Sheet Plastinations

These rad customs were created by Daniel Goffin for the 10th Anniversary show of Ilanena Hoshina and his Dai Kaiju Card Monsters @ Alternative Cafe in Tokyo. They are quite different but I'm loving the feel of them. "Inspired by cutaway anatomy drawings of kaiju monsters I wanted to do something similar, yet, also different. I remembered having seen sheet plastinations in an article about Gunter von Hagen and knew that this would be what I wanted to try to recreate. I have to admit that by creations below are not really plastinations in the literal sense as I did not encase these in acetate and then cut through them." These incredible pieces are on display now through February 20th.
