**RECAP** Le Merde's "Whatsa Matter" show @ Super7 on Satruday, May 15th 2010
One great thing that I always love to point out about our little art community is that most everyone has a HUGE heart, and is always willing to give... more on that later. Mike Kelly aka Le Merde had a huge show that went down at Super 7 SF this past weekend on 5/15/2010 and thanks to Kirkland Jue of Toybot Studios we got some fantastic pictures and coverage from this show. This show had a little bit of everything from resin pieces, ton of custom vinyl toys, some 2D art, buttons, postcards not to mention some rad Iron Man masks that Le Merde painted up! A ton of works are still available for purchase so head on over HERE and check it all out! Also, hit the jump for many more pictures, and Toybot Studios for more in-depth coverage!
Now back to the previous mentioned good deeds... the reason I mentioned this is because Mike's son Hondo is 3 years old and was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes last June at the age of 2. Now this really does not have to do anything directly with the show (to my knowledge) but Mike was wearing a shirt(left) that was created for his son and the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). Now I don't have any kids of my own, but plan on one day and I can only imagine medical costs to support something like this, that being said if you have some extra cash, and can do without that "vinyl toy" hit the link HERE and help donate to a worthy cause!
