Lily Black solo show at 1:AM Gallery in SF
I had the opportunity to meet Lily in person and he is such a cool guy, super kind and a fantastic artist! Lily Black is 1:AM's resident toy mod teacher, and this is his FIRST EVER solo show going down this Friday, April 16th, 2010 from 7-10pm and the show will run through Saturday, May 1st. There is going to be a ton of new customs at this show, and I am sure if you have any modding questions Lily would be glad to talk, heck he will probably even show you! At the opening, Lily will also be celebrating the launch of his website, LILYBLACKTOYS.com, which features his original sculptures using modified toys. If you can go check this stuff out in person... it will blow your mind! Check out the official press release below.

Local writer and artist, Lily Black will be exhibiting new works at his first solo show ever at 1:AM gallery. The gallery will be filled with his signature kit-bashing custom designed toys as well as one thousand drawings of human faces, all evoking the feeling of sadness, desolation and death."
