When I saw this... it blew my mind... the fact that these look so REAL, but in reality these are all fake cake sculptures that lure the viewer in... plus the subject matter is unheard of for a cake... jaws of animals and baby heads, honestly, that's just nuts! All of them are made by artist
Scott Hove, and he does an amazing job with these cakes, not to mention the rad chandelier that is 7' x 7'! Scott makes these using carvable polyurethane foam and plywood, and then frosts them with a variety of acrylic media and then adds fake fruit and other objects found in stores or on the street. I love how when you think of cake as being soft and sweet, but these almost seem like weapons... RAD! He has a show opening on April 2nd at
