Bic Buddy Custom BLOWOUT: Erick Scarecrow
Artist: Erick Scarecrow
Title: Bicbil Bear
Platform: Bic Buddy
Medium: Sculpting medium, acrylics, and 80's cartoon knowledge :-)
Erick Scarecrow takes us on a trip back into the 80's with this very awesomly represented character from the show Thundercats. Berbil the robotic bear was a character introduced later on in the cartoons history, and really fits the shape of the Bic Buddy very well! Erick did a great job of making this custom look almost metal/porcelain on the exterior of this figure, and the details are really spot on! Go see this piece in person at Crewest Gallery in Los Angeles on March 27th, 2010 and then at Zakka in New York on April 9th, 2010!
Erick says:
"My contribution to the Bic Buddy custom jam. Guess what 80s hit animation show this little guy pays homage to? I always thought the original character was so odd and especially the fact he had a family. Nonetheless he fits this platform very well."
