Subtext is very happy to announce that they will kick off their 2010 season with a triple-threat showing of Ken Garduno, Eric Davison, and Tom Haubrick. They've had the pleasure of showing their work a few times over the years, but have always wanted to do something on a larger scale. Although their styles vary, their concepts and narrative work share a common quirkiness. The work of Ken Garduno, Tom Haubrick, and Eric Davison is filled with intrigue, mystery, humor, and other oddities that make it distinctively “strange”. Each one of these artists have their own way of embedding a strong narrative within their artwork, whether through the characters they create or the situations you find them in. Whether you see their work in a sketch, a painting, an ink drawing, a screenprint or a tattoo, their work stands out as strangely endearing.
