Metropolis Gallery is proud to be showcasing two of the most insanely notorious Pop Culture satirists on the globe. Both
Suckadelic (aka The Sucklord) and
Cupco have combined fine art, crafts, designer vinyl and even performance art to lampoon everything from Star Wars to Michael Jackson. Their attack on the nerd world of classic comics, D&D role playing games and Japanese sci-fi marries Mad Magazine's irreverent parodies with Warhol's "commerce-as-fine art" confrontations. Though both artists live on either side of the planet and work in different mediums, they arrive at the same place: Pop Art for the new millennium.
