Ian Firth (aka Friff) sent us these rad images of his latest custom Mini Munny, "Dave." Meet Dave as he steps out of the Discovery - based on 2001's Dave he comes with his own Hal 9000 wooden box. I'm digging the color scheme and the amount of polish put into this piece (considering it's just a Mini.)
The paint job and extra thought put into the box makes for a really cool overall package. I'm a sucker for good packing and people (or companies) who spend the time to actually put some thought into what helps carry or contain the art. If you don't have good packaging, you're just being lazy! :P I liken it to a great painting with a crappy frame. How lame would that be?
I think it really turned out great. Too bad he's not for sale. "Dave" has already found a home with Ron Lu. I'm jealous. At least Ron was nice enough to take some good pics of the newest edition to his collection. Thanks guys!
