*ON SITE* APE or Alternative Press Expo

Once again APE came and went... now you may ask what the heck is APE well for those of you not in the know APE stands for Alternative Press Expo and it is one of the country’s most popular and vibrant alternative comics shows and it returned to its San Francisco home this time around, The Concourse Exhibition Center, for another two big days of great vendors and releases! This went down last Saturday, October 17 and 18, 2009. There were comics, plush , vinyl, paintings, sculpture, you name it, it was there... what a great event, and at a reasonably local level!

As you can tell from the photo montage above it was chocked full of designer toy goodness for all kinds of super well known artists, and thanks to DrilOne once again we have all of these fine photos to share with everyone. The event was held in the Concourse... almost like a giant warehouse that has the feel and vibe of a Sunday afternoon flea market. Like mentioned before so many artists were on hand like artists Leecifer, Sara Antoinette Martin, Camilla d'Errico, Attaboy, Brian Flynn, Glenn Pogue, DrilOne, and so many others as well as local shops such as Super 7 and Neon Monster, this was like a mini-comic-con for all those vinyl fans!For many more pictures be sure to CLICK THROUGH for TWO full photo slide shows from this fantastic 2 day event!
