Frank Kozik's "Hubris" Solo Exhibit

One thing about not being able to go to every event out there is is tough to cover everything... this tme around Vinyl Pulse did a great job so all the credit goes to them for this amazing show! The Los Angeles area has no shortage of art toy exhibits lately. Just this past weekend, artist and fan-favorite toy designer Frank Kozik opened his "Hubris" show at the Billy Shire Fine Arts Gallery in Culver City. The exhibit includes five life-size Salari Ikas, a few MechaNanas, a pair of customized Labbit stools and much more of Kozik's work. The artist also displayed 25 gold The Bird Is The Word sculptures -- think Mao Tse-tung with Mickey Mouse ears -- going for $1,000 each as well as the debut of a 16-inch bronze version, limited to just 20 for $4,000 each.
