"Eternal Sleep" 1:AM Gallery's 1 year anniversary

1:AM Gallery would like to say thanks to their great fans, supporters, and artists, they've made it through their FIRST YEAR. Through the good, the bad, and the ugly from the past year, the most important lesson they have learned is that street and urban art is here to stay. To commemorate their anniversary year, 1:AM Gallery is hosting Eternal Sleep, a tribute to Dia de los Muertos. For this exhibition, they have reanimated their lineup of artists from their inaugural year to haunt their walls with skulls, death, and the celebration of life through their eyes. This will be a mergence of the soul of 1:AM with graffiti writers/artists being displayed alongside fine artists, photographers, sculptors, and custom toy designers. Eternal Sleep epitomizes what 1:AM strives to accomplish, bringing people from different walks of life together.

Expect nothing less than a spectrum of art strumming the joyful and mournful tones of life and death that will reverberate to the deepest parts of your soul. Opening reception is tonight, October 16th, 2009 from 7 – 10pm. DJ Don Kainoa, Spinnerty, and Bozak will be dropping the beats with guest turntablist from Abstract Revolver. The opening is a 21+ event. Exhibition will run through November 6th.
