Custom Domo by Cris Rose

If there's one single positive thing I can say about getting dupes when you buy a case of mini-figures, it's that sometimes you can send your extras to artists, and they will send you back a sweet custom. Such was the case with my extra Domo Qees and the kindly and talented Cris Rose. Don't you love this little guy? He's green, mossy and screwy. You can't beat that. Plus, Cris added a touch of his "Wallpaper Memories" styling in silver. All the other Domo Qees came out to rally around the new guy. (And I wonder why my toys smell like penny royal and cat pee?)

The Domo Qees are pretty rad as existing figures or in custom form. I got my case at a nice price from the Presto Gallery. I picked up the ones I was missing from Tenacious Toys (who didn't even charge extra for the rare ones, thanks Benny). Neon Monster in San Francisco may have them, too.
