CrisRose X SpankyStokes Metalic Blue "Twilight" Mk2 Observation Drone Giveaway contest! *WINNER*

Once again, we got the giveaways backed up, this time Cris Rose was kind enough to give SpankyStokes.com first crack at his new resin creation for a fantastic giveaway! The giveaway consists of this awesome new Metalic Blue "Twilight" Mk2 Observation Drone, which also includes the matching ROSE factory sign. It's 1/1 of course and the very first one ever cast and painted. We are also throwing in one of Cris's Butterfly Paintbomb Tees in black and silver in whatever size the winner needs! After a week of sorting through all of the submissions, Cris finally landed on a winner! Congrats to AlHooter for for his amazing "Storm shot", and thanks to all that participated in this awesome contest!


Cris had such a hard time deciding on a clear cut winner he bent the rules a bit and decided to do a runner up as well, and congrats to DrilOne for landing that spot, who is going to get a "Rose" Factory sign for participating! This was not easy for Cris as all of the submissions were great, so thanks once again to Cris and to everyone that participated!

Competition Rules
If you would like to see one of these Camera Dunnys sitting on your shelf, we'd like you to get into his programming and see things from his point of view. Therefore we are asking for photo submissions (Submit them HERE or email me your pics to me at spankystokes@gmail.com), of something you have observed! Now please, don't go breaking any laws or invade anyone's privacy here, but we want you to grab your camera, get out there and get snapping! The most interesting, amusing or beautiful observation submitted will win a partner in crime! ;) Ideally we want 1 entry per contestant, but we won't begrude a few, so tops would be 3 entries per contestant.

You must be able to prove you took the photo yourself - any doubt may swing the competition in another entry's favor. No photoshopping apart from tweaking levels, colours etc. Photographs including Cris's artwork will not get any kind of preferential treatment! The deadline to get any and all entries in is Sunday August 23rd, so get snapping and submit your pics!

Mk2 Backstory
"The MK1 Observation Drone was a very popular model, famed for it's clarity and robust build quality, so it wasn't long before the Mk2 was developed. Given a completely new head full of optics, these units were more compact, longer lasting and with greater mobility. One of the biggest problems with the Mk1s was that many were often damaged by predator attacks. When deployed in forests or jungles, many were jumped on from behind by Bears, large Cats and irate Squirrels. Making them bigger would have solved this problem, but would have seriously impacted their covert nature, so instead a trick learnt from the humble butterfly was employed. The rear cooling ports were fashioned into the appearance of eyes and the filter unit, a nose, tricking predators into believing they were looking at the front instead. No more sneak-attacks! As a last resort for the bold or persistent animals, two Tesla Coils were mounted on top of the unit with the ability to arc 160,000 Volts between them. Most animals considered a shock of this magnitude not worth their time no matter how many tasty, chewable wires lay inside"

Extra information:
Cris states that "These chaps are the first run of what I hope to be a regular release of custom Dunnys. As I enjoy creating original robotic resin pieces so much, I felt it made sense to do a completely new head for the 3" Dunny when i brought out the Mk2. I made sure to design it such that it stood up without any additional support or alteration to the body, even tho it's considerably top heavy (the body is a hollow vinyl dunny body and the head is solid resin) which was no easy task.

I also took the opportunity to engrave my name, the model number and my home town into the lense and emboss my crown logo in the back of the head. Each one has been hand painted by myself with the rusting effect alone consisting of 10 colours. Finished off with a little moss, these guys have been sitting around the forest for quite a while, so I hope they found what they were looking for!
