GORILLA BISCUITS and SUPER 7**UPDATE**

I AM SUPER EXCITED TO SEE THIS!!!! I have been a huge fan of this band for a long time, and when I ran across this on the Toycyte page, I almost screamed out for joy! This band along with others such as Minor Threat, Teen Idols, Youth Brigade and too many more to name really rocked me through my youth, and it is really great to see other fans out there. Huge props goes out to Brian Flynn of Super7 for making this happen, and also to WeKillYou for the pics from SDCC08...I wish I would have seen this in person!

We started with a small head, but in 3d it looks like a pinhead and really weird. Plus the feet are so big, you can't actually pull them out of a mold, so they had to scale down. Civ and I went back and forth making it look and feel like the Gorilla from first glance, but still appropriate for a toy. The hardest part was the shorts, if you really look at the drawing, the shorts are way too short and even possibly rolled up, how very weird. Overall I am juiced on this, as I get to work with one of my favorite bands ever, and make a toy that should be a toy, it fits perfectly into the fight format. I also spent a lot of time figuring out if we could make alternate arms that mirrored the 7" label, but we couldn't with the pose it is in. Ah well, Maybe next time.....

And as a little extra bonus for those of you who do not know about GB, here is the title song from their self titled 7″ EP called "High Hopes"! This is the kind of music that really takes me back and wish hardcore were more like this today!

**UPDATE**

Super7 is very proud to show the first images of the Full Color Gorilla Biscuits vinyl figure. Coming December 2nd, 2008....more info to come! This in my opinion has to much Kaiju influence in the paint job, is that just me?
