ZAO - "The Rising End (The First Prophecy)"

The Greek word meaning "Alive" Zao just might be one of my favorite bands, and considering I found out about these guys though a girl I went to college with...crazy stuff! I was never really into hardcore...always a punk rocker, but when I heard these guys and the tremendous breakdowns and how melodic yet hard this music was I got hooked instantly!

This song is from their eighth album "The Funeral of God" the album is in fact a concept album, narrating an apocalyptic story in which God, fed up with the path chosen by humanity, decides to disappear, leaving humanity to its fate. Subsequently, the world falls into a state of war and self-destruction. However, man soon reverts to a state in which he waits for God to return.
