SONG OF THE DAY

The Go! Team - "Ladyflash"This sweet little diddy comes from a UK band that I was fortunate enough to see live at the Coachella Music Festival years ago in Indio, CA. Ladyflash is the second track from their debut album, "Thunder, Lightning, Strike." The music itself really doesn't do them much justice. They are a riot live on stage. There are six members in the band and they are all very talented. When you get the chance to see them live you will know what I am talking about. Almost every member in the band is blessed with skills for more than one instrument. They rotate every few songs like an entertaining audio game of musical chairs. Their sound comes from: two drum sets, guitar, banjo, bass, crazy vocals, keyboards, and the melodica. The end result is a mess of sound that somehow makes sense. The music is upbeat and kickback. I know the album is about three years old, but the music still holds up. Enjoy...




P.S. Yes, this is the same band featured in the ad for the new PS3 game, Little Big Planet, with "Get It Together." (Also a great track, but not my personal favorite from the album.)
