"Jeff Koons on the Roof" at The Metropolitan Museum of Art
I found this to be extremely interesting, and I have always had a fascination with large sculpture and Jeff Koons has done an amazing job by catching the atmosphere of his new works by placing them on the rooftop of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

We thought we’d draw your attention to the amazing Jeff Koons on the Roof exhibit now on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Yes, it’s been up since April, alas it will be taken down next month, on October 26, 2008 and before then, this massive show (in sheer size, though it’s comprised of only three pieces) really deserves recognition.October is swiftly approaching, so if yo get a chance to go and and see this show...please do, also...visit the Juxtapoz site for many more pictures of this installation.
In case you can’t make it to the Big Apple, Juxtapoz took a little trip over to check it all out and it’s safe to say Koons’ brilliantly colored large-scale stainless steel work communicates some of the most central and important themes in contemporary American art today.
“His work explores contemporary obsessions with sexuality and desire; race and gender; and celebrity, commerce, and the media. His choice of objects and images forcefully addresses the impact of class, power, materialism, and consumerism in contemporary life,” states exhibition material from The Met.
