While
Matucha hasn't been part of
Dunny Hecho en México release since their third series (DMX3), it's thrilling to see this Most Wanted Dunny series mainstay doing art toys again! For the Dunny Hecho en México's forthcoming "Día de Muertos 2" series, she has contributed the pictured "Chupanekes", an adorable interpretation of the legendary chupacabra, a fabled creature that drinks the blood of livestock, it being especially fond of goats. An absolutely adorable evolution of the 3-inch Dunny form, the rabbit-like ears are shifted to the curved horns, the otherwise smooth shape given lots of sculptural detailing. Matucha's only contributed four handmade copies of this design in its 'regular' white-eyed, orange-haired version, with one very lucky person receiving the black-eyed, blue-haired chase version that comes with a goat skull topped staff accessory!
The
previously announced "Dia de Muertos 2" series (DMX8) will feature an amazing array of talent. The lineup has been revealed to be
Avatar666, Cucaracha Borracha,
El Hooligan,
Jump Jumper Ant,
Lupilu Soler, Matucha,
Mr. Mitote,
Shiffa,
Tadeo Mendoza, and Yoste KMKZ with three chase designs made by Matucha,
Lupila Soler, and Cucaracha Borracha as well as one Golden Ticket prize made by Tadeo Mendoza, though the Golden Ticket winner will just have to cover shipping costs of it. Sales of the $105 apiece blind boxes (shipping not included) will begin on October 20th, 2017 at 11am Pacific time, with those interested simply emailing orders to
dunnyhechoenmexico [at] gmail [dot] com.
